My Why—
Imposter syndrome is systemic.
It’s not you. You CAN raise money.
As a veteran fundraising professional, I’ve been in and around the nonprofit industry for the last 15 years bringing Non-Profit Management, Communications, Fundraising, and Development experience to my clients.
My mission is to empower Executives and Founders with the knowledge necessary to dismantle barriers that prevent organizational leaders from raising funds that will sustain and grow their missions.
However —
As a First-Generation college graduate, I didn’t have mentors or leaders that guided me to become an amazing fundraiser for the majority of my career.
My entire college education and professional career has been filled with many bumps and bruises along the way. From experiencing discrimination, systemic oppression, failures, gaslighting, burnout, plus adult ADHD diagnoses: I realized that *I* wasn’t the problem. I had raised hundreds of thousands and now millions as a fundraiser; and the feeling of “not good enough” was always a lie, a conditioned lie.
Because of this, for the last 4 years in business, I have successfully coached over 200 nonprofits around the world, raising even more millions of dollars for communities across the world.
I utilize my experiences and intersectionalities between mental health, community building, generational traumas, and personal identities to teach others to reclaim community, individual, and intergenerational healing.
I’ve learned that no one wakes up as an amazing fundraiser and that far too often this “roadmap” is all about systemic gatekeeping to prevent fellow heart-centered leaders, especially leaders of color, from knowing how to take their seats at the table and raise money to build stronger communities.
No one is a bad fundraiser. You may just lack the tools, resources, guidance, and positive influence to remind you—
Your story and your mission matters. You CAN raise money!
